Role Context
This position is responsible for strengthening capital planning, reporting, and forecasting across the Group Treasury function while supporting strategic balance sheet optimization and regulatory compliance. The selected professional will manage key treasury reporting processes, improve forecasting models, and provide senior management with insights that enhance capital efficiency and long-term financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead business-as-usual capital management processes across Group Treasury and Capital Management functions
* Manage monthly reporting including equity charge mechanisms, legal entity capital monitoring, RWA analysis, and return on capital hurdle reporting
* Maintain rolling balance sheet and capital forecasts across business units and legal entities
* Support annual budgeting processes including capital allocation and RWA planning across local and international operations
* Lead ad hoc capital planning projects including intra-group dividends, KRIs, AT1 dividends, and capital funding activities
* Monitor structural foreign exchange risk and optimize capital impact of net investment positions
* Review and enhance methodologies for capital optimization and balance sheet performance improvement
* Ensure policies, SOPs, business continuity plans, and operational risk exercises remain updated and compliant
* Conduct benchmark and peer analysis and present key findings and recommendations to senior management
* Review stress capital planning outputs and monitor risk appetite thresholds periodically
* Support balance sheet optimization and treasury transformation projects with internal and external stakeholders
* Provide cross-functional treasury support across capital planning, funding, liquidity, and strategic initiatives
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
* Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CPA, or accounting certifications are beneficial
* Minimum 5 years of banking experience across Finance, Treasury, or related business functions
* Strong understanding of capital management, Basel regulations, liquidity, and funding frameworks
* Good knowledge of banking products across consumer, commercial, and investment banking
* Strong experience in reporting, analytics, and management information within Group Finance environments
* Strong data analysis, Excel modelling, and problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities
* Experience with CBUAE capital and liquidity requirements is an advantage
