Manager - Trade Finance UAE National
Are you an experienced trade finance professional looking to manage and streamline centralized trade finance operations? This role in Abu Dhabi offers an opportunity to lead end-to-end guarantee processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and oversee operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Manage centralized trade finance operations, ensuring seamless execution of guarantees and related transactions
- Implement objectives, policies, and procedures for trade finance units, including user manuals and process documentation
- Review business unit requirements for operational support and discuss with relevant stakeholders
- Oversee smooth system transitions and feature enhancements to maintain operational efficiency
- Execute trade finance projects, ensuring timely completion, cost efficiency, and achievement of set objectives
- Ensure all trade finance activities are processed within standardized turnaround times and service level agreements
- Continuously assess and enhance workflow processes to improve efficiency and cost savings
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedural standards
- Maintain transaction records, organize documentation, and implement an effective archival system for easy retrieval
- Monitor customer trade transactions and settlements, reporting exceptions to the relevant units
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to uphold high-performance standards within a collaborative work environment
- Prepare reports and MIS for senior management to support decision-making and operational control
- Ensure all audit requirements are met, maintaining a satisfactory audit rating
Required Skills and Experience
- Graduate in commerce, banking, or business administration
- Professional certifications such as CITF, CDCS, or CSDG are preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in trade finance operations
- Strong knowledge of trade finance systems, SWIFT transactions, and internal control mechanisms
- Analytical and decision-making skills to optimize trade finance workflows
- Proficiency in computer systems and PC-based financial applications
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Arabic is preferred
