This role plays a vital part in personal banking credit operations by evaluating mortgage applications and supporting lending decisions. It ensures that credit proposals meet internal risk standards while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across retail banking channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze financial statements, bank records, and credit history to assess borrower risk
* Prepare and recommend credit proposals for new and existing mortgage facilities
* Ensure completeness and accuracy of credit documentation before approval submission
* Monitor exception cases and manage deferred or missing documentation within timelines
* Perform system validations and ensure data accuracy across credit platforms
* Identify credit risks and recommend mitigants in line with policy guidelines
* Process applications within agreed service timelines and quality standards
* Support audit, regulatory, and compliance requirements across credit operations
* Conduct verification processes such as employment and credit checks where required
* Maintain productivity reports and ensure timely updates to management
