Job Overview
The Mortgage Product Manager - Retail Banking Abu Dhabi UAE is responsible for the end-to-end management of mortgage products including portfolio growth, policy development, digital transformation, and business continuity planning. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance, driving innovation, and maintaining strong relationships with external partners such as brokers, developers, and insurers.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head of Mortgage in managing the Islamic and conventional mortgage business
* Develop and implement mortgage strategies to increase portfolio growth and profitability
* Lead key transformation projects and initiatives to achieve strategic goals
* Ensure accuracy of mortgage revenue accounts and prevent leakage during product launches
* Maintain and update business continuity, operational risk, and self-assessment records
* Design customer-centric solutions by integrating digital systems and enhancing the customer journey
* Act as product lead for system enhancements including BRDs, test cases, and UAT coordination
* Regularly review and enhance mortgage policies, credit parameters, and pricing structures
* Identify market opportunities and adapt product offerings accordingly
* Oversee product marketing materials and coordinate with internal teams to keep messaging up to date
* Conduct primary market research to understand customer needs and refine product design
* Develop personas, wireframes, MVPs, and other product development artifacts
* Provide training and ongoing support to internal stakeholders to maintain high product knowledge
* Maintain internal mortgage resource hubs such as FABConnects with updated documentation
* Build and maintain relationships with real estate developers, brokers, employers, and valuers
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline
* Minimum 10 years of banking experience, including 5+ years in product management
* Strong knowledge of digital systems and IT infrastructure related to retail lending
* Experience managing mortgage portfolios in the UAE market
* Solid understanding of risk, compliance, and operational frameworks
* Skilled in project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
* Ability to deliver practical, scalable, and innovative customer solutions
* Familiarity with policy formulation, pricing strategy, and mortgage credit guidelines
* Strong leadership and team engagement skills
