Job Overview
The Mortgage Specialist Elite Banking - Abu Dhabi UAE is responsible for overseeing high-value mortgage portfolios within the elite client segment. The role includes ensuring credit documentation accuracy, assessing financial risk, enhancing client satisfaction, and coordinating with legal and credit departments for smooth execution of mortgage processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage mortgage portfolios of elite clients and ensure full policy compliance
* Review and process mortgage applications submitted via Sales and Distribution teams
* Conduct risk assessments using financial data and credit evaluation tools
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of documents to the mortgage unit
* Advise internal stakeholders on lending procedures and policy changes
* Drive higher utilization of approved credit lines by engaging existing clients
* Monitor client performance and escalate early warning signs to concerned departments
* Liaise with legal, compliance, and other departments to ensure timely loan processing
* Handle queries from the mortgage unit and provide accurate follow-ups
* Recommend restructuring or remedial actions on overdue mortgage accounts
* Support continuous process improvements and cross-functional collaboration
* Provide regular updates and feedback to management as required
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in banking, finance, or business
* At least 10 years of hands-on experience in mortgage, credit, or banking operations
* Proven understanding of credit risk, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a high-pressure environment
* Strong knowledge of UAE mortgage regulations and internal lending standards
