Role Context
This role supports core banking operations by managing reconciliation activities for payment systems and GL accounts. It plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with financial controls, resolving discrepancies efficiently, and contributing to operational accuracy and reporting reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform daily GL reconciliation and exception management activities with strong accuracy
* Monitor outstanding items and ensure timely follow-up and resolution
* Escalate ageing discrepancies and maintain proper supporting documentation
* Process financial vouchers related to issuing and acquiring transactions
* Support monthly amortization of prepaid expenses and validate account balances
* Prepare AOV inputs and assist in account substantiation processes
* Maintain audit trails and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks
* Coordinate with operations, finance, and technology teams to resolve reconciliation issues
* Support audit requirements by providing accurate financial data and reports
* Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within reconciliation workflows
* Assist in system testing related to reconciliation and payments operations
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial operations or reconciliation roles
* Strong understanding of GL reconciliation and financial processes
* Exposure to payments or card operations preferred
* Ability to manage detailed financial data with consistency and accuracy
