Role Context
This role drives the development and implementation of Central PMO governance across the bank, ensuring that project delivery aligns with enterprise strategy and governance standards. It plays a key role in embedding structured project management practices, improving reporting frameworks, and enhancing portfolio visibility for executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and implement Central PMO governance frameworks, policies, and processes across the organization
* Engage stakeholders across departments to co-create and embed project management standards and operating models
* Develop and maintain RACI matrices, reporting templates, and governance structures
* Lead creation and management of business case documentation and portfolio masterplans
* Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting and updates for governance committees
* Provide guidance to portfolio heads on project execution methodologies and governance compliance
* Ensure availability of standardized reporting templates across all governance forums
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within CPMO including maturity assessments and KPI frameworks
* Evaluate and implement best practices in portfolio management tools, policies, and methodologies
* Act as custodian of PMO processes ensuring alignment with enterprise playbook and standards
* Support cross-functional teams in adopting structured project governance practices
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Management, or related field
* MBA or equivalent master’s degree preferred
* Around 10+ years of experience including at least 5 years in PMO or portfolio governance roles
* Strong experience in banking or financial services environments
* Proven experience in implementing enterprise-level project governance frameworks
* Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile PMO required
* Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities
