This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy and operational integrity across issuing and acquiring business activities. The Reconciliation Analyst supports core finance processes by identifying discrepancies, resolving exceptions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards. The position contributes directly to improving financial transparency and reducing operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform daily reconciliation activities for assigned GL accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls
* Investigate and resolve exceptions, ensuring outstanding items are cleared within defined timelines
* Escalate ageing reconciliation items and maintain clear documentation for audit purposes
* Process financial vouchers related to issuing and acquiring operations in line with policies
* Prepare monthly inputs and support balance substantiation for financial control teams
* Post amortization entries for prepaid expenses accurately and on time
* Maintain audit trails and proper records to support internal and external audits
* Collaborate with operations, finance, and technology teams to resolve discrepancies
* Contribute to automation initiatives and process improvements for reconciliation efficiency
* Support system testing activities related to financial operations and reconciliation workflows

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
* Minimum 3 years of experience in financial operations or reconciliation roles
* Experience within payments or banking environments is preferred
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
* Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple reconciliation tasks efficiently
* Comfortable working under structured financial control frameworks and escalation protocols

Skills Set

* Advanced MS Excel and financial data analysis
* Understanding of reconciliation processes and GL accounting
* Knowledge of payments systems and settlement cycles
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
