This role ensures financial integrity by managing reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining control over general ledger accounts. It contributes to operational accuracy, audit readiness, and continuous improvement within financial operations and payments processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform daily reconciliation and exception management activities with strong attention to accuracy
* Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring timely clearance of outstanding items
* Escalate ageing discrepancies and maintain proper documentation for audit tracking
* Process financial vouchers related to issuing and acquiring transactions in line with internal policies
* Post monthly amortization entries for prepaid expenses and support financial closing activities
* Prepare monthly inputs and support account balance substantiation for reporting purposes
* Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, finance, and technology to resolve reconciliation issues
* Maintain audit trails, proper records, and compliance with internal financial control frameworks
* Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
* Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancement feedback
* Assist in testing activities related to system updates impacting reconciliation processes

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial operations or reconciliation roles
* Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and financial controls
* Exposure to payments ecosystem and settlement processes is advantageous
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure in a structured environment
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
