Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow an assigned Government and Public Sector investment banking client portfolio.
* Work with Managing Directors and senior stakeholders to support team strategy, business planning, and target relationship returns.
* Increase FAB’s share of wallet with target clients through structured relationship plans and cross-selling opportunities.
* Originate new business opportunities across corporate and investment banking products.
* Coordinate closely with product teams, enablement units, credit teams, and internal stakeholders to maximize business opportunities and execute client strategies.
* Develop and support term sheets, information memoranda, financial models, mandate letters, and other transaction documentation.
* Review, negotiate, and conclude client deals while addressing credit, market, and operational risk considerations.
* Maintain client credit quality within acceptable limits set by bank management.
* Manage portfolio P and L responsibility and achieve assigned financial targets within defined budget levels.
* Ensure account plans are prepared, updated, and maintained for all key clients.
* Submit credit reviews on time and ensure agreed conditions, documentation, and internal requirements are completed.
* Maintain accurate client files, records, and transaction documentation.
* Manage KYC, AML, compliance, operational risk, business continuity, and internal audit requirements for existing and new-to-bank clients.
* Review financial statements, MIS, and portfolio reports to monitor performance against budget and business plans.
* Support the Sector Head in administrative, transactional, and day-to-day client management activities.
* Supervise subordinate activities, client interactions, and service delivery to ensure team objectives are met.
* Coach, motivate, and develop team members while encouraging adherence to FAB values, ethics, and governance standards.
* Contribute to talent development and learning initiatives to strengthen departmental capability.
* Follow CIB policies, procedures, controls, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements in all client and transaction activities.
Ideal Profile
* Strong experience in corporate banking, investment banking, government banking, public sector coverage, or institutional relationship management.
* Proven ability to manage senior client relationships, originate business, and grow revenue across banking products.
* Strong understanding of credit, market, operational, KYC, AML, compliance, and portfolio risk requirements.
* Experience preparing or reviewing term sheets, financial models, information memoranda, mandate letters, and client proposals.
* Ability to analyze client financial statements, industry trends, market risks, and business opportunities.
* Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance revenue growth, client satisfaction, and portfolio credit quality.
* Experience managing P and L responsibility, budgets, revenue targets, and relationship returns.
* Strong leadership ability with experience coaching team members and supervising day-to-day client activities.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work with product partners, credit teams, compliance teams, and senior business leaders in a controlled banking environment.
