Role Context
This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, expanding the business banking portfolio, and ensuring effective credit risk management across corporate and commercial financing activities. The selected professional will work closely with customers to understand funding needs, structure appropriate solutions, and maintain high-quality portfolio performance while supporting cross-selling opportunities and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate and commercial financing clients across assigned market segments
* Increase relationship depth and business volumes with existing customers while acquiring new borrowing relationships
* Source new business opportunities through active prospecting, referrals, and supplier-buyer ecosystem development
* Prepare credit applications, analyze financial statements, and ensure accurate documentation for approvals
* Structure financing solutions aligned with customer needs and bank policies, including pricing and limit utilization
* Monitor approved limits and ensure effective utilization to maximize profitability and revenue margins
* Support Trade Finance, working capital facilities, and Real Estate Financing solutions where applicable
* Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer leads to other business units across the bank
* Recognize early warning signs of account risk and manage overdue collections proactively
* Maintain strong working relationships with Credit Division, Credit Administration, and operational teams
* Ensure compliance with internal banking policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements including AML monitoring
Ideal Profile
* University degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field
* MBA, PGDM, CA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred
* Minimum 5 to 8 years of banking experience with at least 4 years in a similar Business Banking role
* Strong expertise in Trade Working Capital is mandatory
* Real Estate Financing experience is considered a strong advantage
* Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, due diligence, and lending risk assessment
* Good understanding of SME banking, market dynamics, and customer financing structures
* Strong sales mindset with proven success in achieving or exceeding revenue targets
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
