Role Context
This role is centered on building and managing SME and mid-market client relationships while driving lending growth and maintaining disciplined risk standards. It contributes directly to portfolio expansion, revenue generation, and strengthening the bank’s position in the SME segment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage an assigned SME portfolio with focus on deepening relationships and increasing wallet share
* Source new clients through structured prospecting and market engagement strategies
* Structure credit proposals aligned with client needs and internal risk frameworks
* Prepare and review credit applications, financials, and supporting documentation
* Monitor utilization of approved limits and optimize portfolio performance
* Identify early risk indicators and take corrective actions to protect asset quality
* Coordinate with internal teams to deliver cross-sell opportunities across banking products
* Maintain regular client interaction through meetings, site visits, and follow-ups
* Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory policies and internal procedures
Ideal Profile
* Degree in Finance, Business, or related field
* Solid experience in SME or commercial banking environment
* Strong exposure to credit analysis, lending, and portfolio handling
* Understanding of UAE SME market dynamics and regulatory requirements
* Confident communicator with ability to influence and negotiate
