Role Context
This position plays a key role in personal banking credit by supporting mortgage lending decisions through structured analysis and documentation review. It ensures that all credit proposals meet internal risk standards while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across retail banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Review client financial records including bank statements and audited documents to assess creditworthiness
* Prepare structured credit proposals and recommendations for mortgage facilities
* Evaluate credit risks and highlight mitigants in line with lending policies
* Ensure all documentation is complete and meets approval requirements
* Manage exception cases including incomplete or deferred documents within defined timelines
* Conduct system validations and ensure data accuracy before progressing applications
* Process credit applications efficiently within agreed service levels
* Perform verification checks such as employment and profile validation where required
* Maintain productivity and reporting standards for management review
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and central bank regulations

* Experience in retail banking credit or mortgage underwriting
* Strong understanding of financial analysis and lending principles
