Role Context
This position is responsible for managing assigned sales teams, improving retail banking revenue, and ensuring customer acquisition targets are consistently achieved. The selected professional will lead field and office-based sales operations, strengthen internal collaboration, and improve business performance across assigned territories using structured sales management and digital tools.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the assigned sales team to ensure monthly sales targets are achieved or exceeded
* Drive sales of core banking products while encouraging cross-selling of other direct sales products
* Plan, organize, lead, and control team activities both in office and remotely using CRM, Microsoft Tasks, and digital platforms
* Develop new business opportunities in collaboration with Employee Banking and branch networks
* Source quality business while ensuring fraud prevention and compliance guidelines are strictly followed
* Strengthen customer relationship management using NPS feedback, service quality tracking, and regular follow-up
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with branches, internal departments, and Employee Banking relationship managers
* Conduct promotional activities, meetings, roadshows, and showroom campaigns to improve product visibility and sales volumes
* Ensure all team documentation is complete, accurate, and error-free for approved customer applications
* Monitor follow-up for deferred documentation and discrepancies to ensure smooth approval processes
* Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports on sales performance, service updates, errors, and portfolio growth
* Provide market feedback and customer insights to senior management for product and process improvements
* Identify cross-selling opportunities across other business divisions of the bank
* Motivate team members through recognition, coaching, training support, and performance management
* Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, policies, service standards, and code of conduct across the team
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
* Strong experience in retail banking sales, direct sales management, or branch sales leadership
* Strong knowledge of retail banking products and customer acquisition strategies
* Proven experience managing sales teams and delivering consistent portfolio growth
* Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills
* Strong customer relationship and dealer management abilities
* Good computer skills, reporting discipline, and organizational capability
* Strong market awareness, competition knowledge, and understanding of banking compliance standards
* Strong convincing, negotiation, and communication skills
