Role Context
This role supports private banking credit operations by structuring and evaluating high-value lending facilities for affluent clients. It works closely with relationship managers and internal teams to ensure that credit proposals meet both client requirements and the bank’s risk appetite while maintaining portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review credit proposals for private banking clients including high-value lending facilities
* Conduct detailed financial and risk analysis to support credit decisions
* Structure bespoke lending solutions such as Lombard loans, real estate financing, and insurance-backed facilities
* Collaborate with relationship managers to align credit structures with client needs
* Identify risks and recommend appropriate mitigants for complex transactions
* Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with credit policies and approval conditions
* Participate in client meetings and discussions for transaction structuring
* Coordinate with legal, credit administration, and risk teams for documentation and approvals
* Track early warning signals and recommend actions to manage potential problem accounts
* Maintain accuracy of credit data and ensure timely submission of approvals
Ideal Profile
* Experience in private banking credit or wealth management lending
* Strong understanding of credit products including Lombard lending and real estate finance
* Knowledge of investment products such as bonds, equities, and structured products
* Ability to structure complex credit facilities for high-net-worth clients
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Good understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
