Role Context
This position acts as a key finance advisor within First Abu Dhabi Bank, supporting Islamic banking leadership in achieving strategic objectives. The role contributes to business performance by delivering insights, strengthening financial governance, and aligning financial planning with long-term growth priorities across the bank’s Islamic business division.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a finance business partner providing advisory support on performance and strategic initiatives
* Lead preparation of monthly management reports and performance review packs
* Support annual budgeting processes and monitor performance against financial targets
* Coordinate with Group Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity
* Provide insights into product performance, market trends, and profitability drivers
* Support regulatory reporting, financial control, and governance compliance
* Collaborate with treasury teams on balance sheet, liquidity, and pricing matters
* Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with business planning
* Prepare rolling forecasts and highlight growth opportunities and performance gaps
* Conduct profitability and margin analysis across products and customer segments
* Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and performance improvements
* Support finance system implementations and transformation initiatives
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA
* Around 10 years of experience in FP&A or business finance within banking
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards
* Experience supporting Islamic banking environments is highly preferred
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
Skills Set
* Advanced financial analysis and business planning
* Budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
* Knowledge of financial systems such as T24, OBIEE, OneSumX, and Power BI
* Risk assessment and financial control understanding
