Role Context
The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for leading portfolio growth within the contracting sector while ensuring strong client engagement and disciplined risk management. The role contributes directly to profitability by originating new business, managing existing relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives across corporate banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and expand a portfolio of contracting sector clients while maintaining strong credit quality
* Conduct financial and market analysis to identify opportunities and potential risks across industries
* Originate new business opportunities and structure deals across a range of banking products
* Prepare transaction documentation including term sheets, mandate letters, and information memoranda
* Evaluate credit, operational, and market risks in collaboration with internal stakeholders
* Lead negotiations and successfully close complex financial transactions
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and counterparties
* Identify cross-selling opportunities and increase product penetration within client portfolios
* Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and internal banking policies
* Monitor portfolio performance and conduct periodic credit reviews
* Drive team performance, supervise daily activities, and ensure high-quality service delivery
* Support collaboration across business units to enhance client solutions and service models
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
* MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred
* 12-15 years of experience in corporate or investment banking
* Minimum 5 years of experience in team management and leadership roles
* Strong expertise in credit analysis, financial structuring, and corporate banking products
* Proven ability to manage large portfolios and deliver consistent revenue growth
* Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills
* Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage complex transactions
