Key Responsibilities
* Acquire new-to-bank high-value SME clients and grow existing high-value relationships.
* Increase liability book, revenue contribution, market share, and wallet share across assigned SME customer segments.
* Build strong customer engagement to understand banking needs, service expectations, business plans, and financial requirements.
* Cross-sell and upsell FAB products and services to support revenue growth and stronger client relationships.
* Actively source new business from prospects and follow up on sales leads within designated market segments.
* Plan timely client visits and coordinate introductions with GTB and Global Markets partners.
* Provide customers with accurate product information, benefits, service updates, and banking solutions relevant to their business.
* Identify sales leads and refer opportunities to other product areas within the bank.
* Coordinate with product managers and specialists to promote suitable products and improve customer solutions.
* Negotiate internally on pricing and structuring of Global Markets and Cash products based on customer needs.
* Maintain an efficient, customer-focused approach that improves response times and supports application processing.
* Prepare credit applications, analyze financial statements, and support approvals for new clients and renewals.
* Assess customer creditworthiness, financial risks, business risks, competitive position, strategy, management quality, and financial profile.
* Recommend appropriate credit limits in line with business needs, bank policies, and risk appetite.
* Proactively manage assigned portfolio risk by ensuring timely renewal of accounts and updated KYC records.
* Recognize early warning signals of weak account conduct and support collection of past due loans where required.
* Work closely with internal departments to manage compliance risk, operational risk, credit risk exposure, and audit requirements.
* Monitor possible money laundering activity and coordinate remedial actions with management.
* Cooperate with internal audit and risk management teams to address gaps and respond to audit reports within agreed deadlines.
* Prepare and follow a self-development plan agreed with the line manager and attend required training sessions.
Ideal Profile
* University degree is required, with postgraduate qualification in business management or business administration preferred.
* Experience in SME banking, business banking, relationship management, sales management, credit analysis, or portfolio management.
* Strong knowledge of SME propositions, general banking, business banking products, and competitor offerings.
* Proven ability to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, high-performance culture, and financial objectives.
* Good understanding of KYC, compliance risk, operational risk, credit applications, portfolio renewals, and banking regulations.
* Strong business assessment skills, especially for complex structures, facilities, and clients with international dimensions.
* Ability to analyze financial statements, assess creditworthiness, identify risks, and recommend suitable credit limits.
* Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Strong planning and organizing ability with the tenacity to deliver results.
* Leadership ability with experience in performance management, team development, and stakeholder engagement.
