As Team Lead - Inward Payments and Vostro Operations, you will oversee a team of processors and specialists managing high-volume transaction processing. You will ensure accurate and timely remittances while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls. The role also involves leading continuous process improvements, enhancing service quality, and minimizing operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and authorize remittance transactions, settlements, and reconciliations
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
* Drive timely and error-free processing of inward payments and Vostro transactions
* Maintain daily proofing, exception handling, and resolution of reconciliation issues
* Develop team performance metrics and monitor motivation, productivity, and quality
* Enhance operational efficiency through process reengineering and risk control initiatives
* Support new product implementation by aligning workflows and regulatory procedures
* Deliver high-quality service to both internal and external customers
* Coordinate with risk, compliance, and audit teams to meet control objectives
* Implement tools for early identification and mitigation of operational risks
Governance & Standards
* Ensure zero operations loss, zero high-risk errors, and no regulatory breaches
* Achieve a minimum 95% TAT compliance and 85% customer satisfaction score
* Maintain clean audit reports with no critical findings
* Enforce discipline and maintain exceptional housekeeping and documentation standards
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree required
* Minimum 5 years of relevant banking experience, with 3 years in payment operations leadership
* Expertise in SWIFT processing, inward remittances, Vostro account handling, and reconciliation
* Strong understanding of risk, audit, and regulatory compliance in transaction banking
* Proven experience managing operational teams with performance accountability
* Sound knowledge of international banking standards and payment processing systems
