Role Context
The Technology Sourcing Specialist will support sourcing execution for assigned technology categories by working closely with category managers, procurement teams, business stakeholders, delivery teams, finance, legal, and vendors. The role helps ensure that sourcing events are structured, compliant, commercially sound, and properly documented from initial requirement through evaluation and decision support.
This position contributes to procurement efficiency by maintaining sourcing playbooks, trackers, evaluation matrices, dashboards, vendor engagement records, and KPI reports. The successful candidate will also identify cost-saving opportunities, support sourcing hygiene, promote supplier accountability, and assist with ESG, sustainability, and supplier diversity compliance within technology sourcing activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute sourcing strategies and support sourcing plans across assigned technology domains, including cloud, infrastructure, platforms, and related services.
* Manage RFQ and RFP documentation, vendor communication, evaluation coordination, and decision-support activities.
* Liaise with procurement teams to ensure sourcing processes meet internal policies, compliance standards, risk requirements, and governance checkpoints.
* Maintain sourcing artifacts, including playbooks, trackers, evaluation matrices, scorecards, dashboards, and issue logs.
* Identify sourcing efficiencies, cost optimization opportunities, and commercial improvement areas across allocated technology domains.
* Coordinate daily sourcing activities with category managers, business stakeholders, delivery teams, finance, legal, and other internal partners.
* Ensure vendor engagement processes and sourcing documentation are aligned with enterprise procurement standards.
* Support tracking of sourcing KPIs such as cycle time, savings, vendor service levels, and sourcing pipeline progress.
* Generate regular sourcing reports, dashboards, and status updates for stakeholders and procurement leadership.
* Promote sourcing discipline by ensuring proper documentation control, issue tracking, approval records, and vendor accountability.
* Assist in drafting and maintaining vendor engagement models, performance scorecards, and sourcing governance documentation.
* Evaluate commercial offers, compare cost structures, support benchmarking activities, and provide clear input for sourcing decisions.
* Help ensure sourcing activities support ESG requirements, sustainability expectations, and supplier diversity objectives.
* Work within procurement governance principles and ensure sourcing files are audit-ready and complete.
* Support continuous improvement in sourcing processes, vendor coordination, evaluation quality, and reporting practices.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Relevant experience in technology sourcing, procurement operations, vendor coordination, or category support within banking, financial services, or a large enterprise environment.
* Hands-on experience managing sourcing events such as RFQs, RFPs, vendor evaluations, and commercial comparison exercises.
* Working knowledge of technology procurement categories such as cloud, infrastructure, platforms, software, IT services, or digital solutions.
* Understanding of sourcing governance, procurement compliance, documentation standards, and internal approval workflows.
* Ability to support vendor engagement models, performance dashboards, scorecards, and sourcing trackers.
* Strong analytical ability to review commercial proposals, compare cost models, and support benchmarking.
* Good communication skills for coordinating with category leads, business users, finance, legal, delivery teams, and vendors.
* Strong process discipline with careful attention to documentation, policy checkpoints, risk controls, and audit readiness.
* Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities while maintaining accuracy, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.
* Awareness of ESG, sustainability, supplier diversity, and responsible sourcing practices will be an advantage.
