The Trade Finance Officer - Middle Office will support the execution of trade finance transactions across funded and unfunded products. The position is part of the Trade Finance Middle Office function, which enables transaction execution for multiple banking segments and supports high-quality service delivery in a cost-efficient and error-free manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Process trade finance transactions covering funded and unfunded products within the Trade Middle Office.
* Support execution of trade transactions originated by Wholesale Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Financial Institutions, Investment Banking, Islamic Banking, and Consumer Banking.
* Ensure trade finance transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed turnaround times.
* Review transaction documents and internal instructions for completeness, consistency, and compliance with bank requirements.
* Maintain high quality standards while reducing processing errors, rework, and avoidable operational delays.
* Follow established trade finance procedures, operating controls, and internal approval requirements.
* Ensure every transaction is handled in line with FAB policies, regulator requirements, and applicable compliance standards.
* Support risk management by identifying transaction gaps, documentation issues, irregularities, or processing exceptions.
* Escalate discrepancies, policy concerns, compliance issues, or operational risks to the appropriate team or supervisor.
* Coordinate with relationship teams, product teams, operations, compliance, risk, and other internal stakeholders to support smooth transaction execution.
* Maintain accurate records of processed transactions, approvals, documents, and follow-up actions.
* Support funded trade products and unfunded trade products with proper attention to control, documentation, and transaction flow.
* Respond to internal queries related to trade transaction processing and middle office requirements.
* Assist in improving transaction handling, workflow efficiency, and service delivery standards.
