The Trade Finance Operations Manager will lead the centralized trade finance unit, ensuring seamless transaction processing, documentation integrity, and service level adherence. You will manage system upgrades, internal controls, and project delivery while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements and operational excellence standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations of centralized trade finance services
* Implement unit-specific policies, procedures, user manuals, and control mechanisms
* Collaborate with business units to align operational support with service requirements
* Lead the execution of trade finance-related projects and system enhancements
* Ensure timely and compliant transaction processing within defined turnaround times
* Review and streamline workflows for increased efficiency and reduced operational costs
* Maintain proper documentation, transaction records, and archival systems
* Monitor customer trade transactions and settlements, escalating exceptions as necessary
* Enforce regulatory compliance and internal audit standards
* Prepare periodic MIS reports and analytics for senior management review
* Coach, direct, and motivate team members to maintain high-performance operations
* Ensure smooth audit processes with satisfactory ratings
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Banking, or Business Administration
* Certification in CDCS, CITF, or CSDG required or highly preferred
* Minimum 7 years of experience in trade finance operations within banking
* Proficiency in SWIFT messaging systems and banking transaction platforms
* Strong understanding of operational controls, compliance policies, and transaction lifecycle
* Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
* Proven leadership, decision-making, and team coordination capabilities
* Strong analytical skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach
