Role Summary
IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced AV Technician to support the events and operations team at voco Dubai. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual systems across meeting rooms, event spaces, and public areas, ensuring a seamless experience for guests, presenters, and performers. The AV Technician will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of technical support in one of Dubai’s leading hospitality destinations.

What You’ll Do
* Prepare and set up AV equipment for conferences, weddings, banquets, and entertainment programs
* Operate and manage sound systems, projectors, video walls, lighting systems, video conferencing tools, and digital displays
* Perform routine maintenance, testing, and inventory checks of AV equipment
* Troubleshoot technical issues on-site to ensure smooth event delivery
* Coordinate with event planners, banquet managers, and guests to understand AV needs and provide professional assistance
* Support integration of AV with IT systems, including IPTV, background music, and in-room technology
* Maintain records of AV usage, equipment performance, and repair logs
* Ensure storage areas are clean, safe, and well-organized for daily operations
Ideal Profile
* Diploma or certification in Audio-Visual Technology, Electronics, IT, or a related discipline
* 2–3 years of proven AV experience in hotels, resorts, or event venues
* Proficiency with mixers, amplifiers, microphones, projectors, LED screens, and stage lighting systems
* Hands-on knowledge of video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex
* Familiarity with AV over IP, wireless presentation systems, and IT system integration is an advantage
* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
* Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team
