**Electrical Engineer – Pre-Project Development in Mesaieed, Qatar**

- **Job Purpose**
As an Electrical Engineer specializing in Pre-Project Development, you will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and executing pre-projects in line with the company’s goals and objectives. This role involves performing root cause analyses, conducting engineering calculations, and delivering high-quality technical solutions to support project execution. You will coordinate with multiple trades and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of pre-project work, while adhering to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
- **Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and lead pre-project activities, manage teams, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and challenges are addressed.
- Conduct root cause analyses, engineering calculations, and safety/environmental studies to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Deliver pre-project work with optimal technical solutions and high-quality deliverables, adhering to project schedules, budgets, and execution guidelines.
- Develop and update engineering specifications and standards, incorporating lessons learned from previous projects.
- Stay updated on technological advancements to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost reduction.
- Provide technical support to the Operations Division, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to operational needs.
- Mentor and train new or trainee engineers, fostering knowledge exchange and skill development.
- **Desired Candidate Profile**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of direct experience in the Fertilizer, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards specific to oil and gas facilities.
- Expertise in earthing, cathodic protection, and lightning protection systems.
- Familiarity with contract provisions, electrical code requirements, and commissioning of electrical installations.
- Understanding of engineering management principles, safer design, and reliable operation of facilities to reduce risks to personnel, assets, and the environment.
- Proven experience in organizing and leading project management teams, including planning optimal activity sequences, managing budgets, and overseeing project gatekeeping processes.
- Ability to compile technical bid proposals, generate project estimates, and submit bid documentation in line with RFP specifications.
- Proficiency in developing detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, technical specifications, execution methods, and resource requirements.
