Position Overview
The Accident Investigation Engineer will develop and apply expertise in accident investigation, ensuring that safety risks are fully addressed in RTA’s road and transport systems. The role involves conducting investigations, preparing reports, supporting audits, and providing technical insights to enhance safety and risk management practices.

What You’ll Do
* Conduct accident and incident investigations related to road and transport systems.
* Undertake follow-up actions from inspections, audits, program evaluations, and risk assessments.
* Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders on safety and accident findings.
* Report accidents, near misses, and hazards promptly.
* Submit measurable objectives to section and department management.
* Provide timely and professional responses to employee requests and inquiries.
* Critically review internal and external reports and publications related to safety.
* Participate in training and development programs related to accident investigation.
* Liaise with specialist contractors to support accident investigation processes.
* Maintain accurate records of all investigations, findings, and recommendations.
* Provide technical support for inspection, monitoring, and safety regulation activities.
* Remain available 24/7 to attend accident scenes and incidents involving RTA transport activities.
* Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Transportation Engineering from a recognized university; Master’s degree preferred.
* At least 8 years of experience in accident investigation, safety, or risk management within transport or related sectors.
* Strong technical knowledge of HSE and accident investigation methods.
* Expertise in railway and road transport accident analysis.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage emergencies with minimal delay and provide clear recommendations.
