Role Summary
The Advisor - Safety Health Environment is responsible for driving comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs across projects, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture. The role plays a critical part in minimizing risks, improving operational safety, and enhancing environmental responsibility across all project activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead development and implementation of SH and E strategies aligned with project and regulatory requirements
* Act as primary advisor on safety, health, and environmental matters for project teams and management
* Conduct risk assessments, site audits, and safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure mitigation measures
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, implementing corrective actions and preventive strategies
* Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to embed safety practices across all activities
* Develop and deliver safety training programs to improve awareness and compliance
* Monitor compliance with UAE regulations and international standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
* Prepare detailed safety reports, performance metrics, and recommendations for senior leadership
* Manage emergency response planning and crisis management procedures
* Liaise with regulatory authorities and represent the organization in safety-related matters
* Supervise and mentor safety teams to ensure consistent performance and professional development
* Ensure implementation of environmental protection measures and sustainability practices
Ideal Profile
* Extensive experience in safety, health, and environment roles within infrastructure or construction projects
* Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international standards
* Proven ability to lead safety programs and manage risk across complex projects
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent certification preferred
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills
* Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
