Role Summary
Join Parsons as an Assistant Resident Engineer - Electrical and play a vital role in reviewing electrical engineering designs, preparing technical documentation, and supporting cost estimation and installation supervision. This is a high-impact position on infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi where you’ll ensure all electrical modifications align with project objectives and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare electrical engineering documents including designs, calculations, quantity takeoffs, estimates, specifications, and technical data sheets
* Review and advise on supplier submittals, material procurement, and bid evaluations
* Collaborate with CAD designers and provide technical guidance to ensure accurate system schematics
* Assist with inspection and troubleshooting of electrical installations and support preventive maintenance activities
* Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and the original design intent during refurbishments
* Conduct site reviews to support execution and adherence to quality standards
* Participate in scope of work development and cost estimating for electrical-related systems
* Provide engineering insights to streamline procurement and installation planning
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
* Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably involving facility design or system upgrades
* Strong skills in technical evaluation, electrical schematics, and design supervision
* Experience with cost estimation, bid documentation, and equipment specification
* Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority requirements is highly desirable
* PE license or equivalent certification preferred
* Excellent communication, planning, and documentation abilities
