Position Overview
Parsons is hiring an Assistant Resident Engineer in Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi, UAE to support the supervision and delivery of electrical works for roads and infrastructure projects. The role will assist the Resident Engineer with day-to-day construction supervision, technical reviews, contractor coordination, progress monitoring, quality compliance, HSE implementation, and project documentation.
The position requires extensive electrical infrastructure experience, including supervision of major projects in Abu Dhabi. The Assistant Resident Engineer will coordinate with engineers, inspectors, surveyors, contractors, service authorities, and stakeholders to ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and established quality and
safety standards.

What You\'ll Be Doing
* Report to the Resident Engineer and assist with supervision of electrical infrastructure works and associated activities.
* Assume Resident Engineer responsibilities when required.
* Coordinate electrical works with other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
* Monitor contractor activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and project procedures.
* Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, material submittals, and related technical correspondence.
* Prepare technical comments and draft responses for review by the Resident Engineer.
* Coordinate with design engineers to resolve technical issues and site queries.
* Review and justify material submissions and relevant technical or laboratory reports against project requirements.
Construction Supervision and Progress Control
* Monitor contractor schedules and deployment of resources for electrical infrastructure works.
* Support progress measurement and reporting against planned construction activities.
* Direct and monitor inspectors and surveyors where applicable.
* Maintain daily site diaries and ensure supervision records are complete and accurate.
* Identify matters affecting electrical construction progress and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
* Support preparation of weekly and monthly project progress reports.
Authority and Stakeholder Coordination
The Assistant Resident Engineer will participate in or chair meetings concerning electrical works with service authorities, contractors, and other project stakeholders. The role requires effective coordination of technical interfaces and timely resolution of issues that could affect construction delivery.
Quality and HSE Responsibilities
* Verify that electrical works comply with applicable quality requirements and approved project documentation.
* Support implementation of project QA requirements and established quality control procedures.
* Apply knowledge of QA specifications and statistical quality control practices where relevant.
* Monitor implementation of site HSE procedures.
* Support achievement of established project safety objectives.
* Coordinate with the construction supervision team on quality and safety matters affecting electrical works.
Project Records and Handover
* Maintain accurate records of supervised electrical activities.
* Support preparation and verification of as-built documentation.
* Monitor completeness of project records required for handover.
* Assist with compilation and coordination of final electrical infrastructure documentation.
* Maintain appropriate document control for technical correspondence, submissions, reviews, and construction records.
