Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Resident Engineer in administering daily site operations for assigned infrastructure, roads, utilities, and landscaping works.
* Perform field engineering assignments, including constructability reviews, site observations, and technical coordination.
* Maintain first-level quality assurance to confirm that construction work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and industry standards.
* Review and interpret civil engineering drawings, specifications, and current revisions to ensure correct technical execution on site.
* Provide technical guidance to construction teams and help resolve engineering issues within the assigned discipline.
* Coordinate with discipline design engineering staff to clarify technical matters and support smooth project delivery.
* Monitor construction schedules, review progress, and provide schedule appraisal data to the Resident Engineer.
* Track material procurement and deliveries to support timely construction activities and avoid project delays.
* Ensure inspections and tests are performed, witnessed, and documented according to approved procedures.
* Review contractor submissions, technical documents, site records, and relevant project documentation.
* Supervise site inspection staff and support consistent inspection coverage across assigned work areas.
* Prepare progress reports, daily logs, construction records, and discipline data required for final project turnover.
* Maintain construction technical catalogs, supplier data, and project literature for reference and reporting.
* Work with construction management teams to identify and remove hazards that may affect safety, health, or the environment.
* Ensure assigned personnel follow safe work practices in line with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
* Perform additional project-related responsibilities as required by the Resident Engineer or project leadership.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a technically strong civil engineering professional with proven experience in major infrastructure, roads, utilities, and landscaping projects. This role requires practical site judgment, strong documentation habits, and the ability to coordinate confidently with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
* Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of overall experience in infrastructure, road works, and utilities projects.
* Experience with dry utilities, wet utilities, roads, landscaping, and general infrastructure works.
* Proven background in supervising major road and infrastructure projects, preferably in Dubai.
* Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, construction specifications, quality procedures, and site execution standards.
* Ability to review contractor submissions, progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
* Good understanding of construction processes, safety practices, industry standards, and project control requirements.
* Proficiency in computer applications for data access, record management, reporting, and engineering or construction software.
* Strong written and spoken English with clear technical writing and communication skills.
* Ability to supervise inspection teams, coordinate technical solutions, and support timely project delivery.
