Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising rail bridge construction works including foundations, supports, deck, girders, and piers
* Review shop drawings, design submittals, technical queries, and method statements related to bridge segments
* Monitor quality control activities and compliance with safety and construction standards
* Maintain accurate construction logs, inspection reports, and project records
* Ensure contractor adherence to schedule and provide on-site direction to engineers, inspectors, and surveyors
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth progress of construction and final handover
* Provide timely reports and assist in preparation of weekly/monthly project updates
* Check and measure completed work and ensure accuracy of \'as-built\' documentation
* Lead safety compliance efforts in coordination with project safety representatives
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
* Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction supervision of rail bridges, including creek crossings or similar large-scale projects
* Proficient in reviewing material submittals, technical reports, and conducting field tests and inspections
* Strong understanding of bridge components: columns, spans, abutments, beams, expansion joints, and rail interfaces
* Fully proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction-related software
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
* Familiarity with UAE or GCC construction codes and metro infrastructure projects preferred
