BIM and CAD Technician - Roads and Highways Drafting Dubai
Position Overview
Parsons Corporation is seeking a skilled BIM and CAD Technician to join its engineering design team in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on drafting and modeling support for roads, highways, traffic signage, and marking projects. Candidates must have experience in BIM processes, CAD platforms, and project delivery workflows within the UAE.

Role Summary
As a BIM and CAD Technician based in Dubai, you will work closely with engineering leads to produce and manage technical drawings, traffic layouts, road marking plans, and civil infrastructure models. You will also support BIM coordination, parametric family creation, clash detection, and extraction of quantities and schedules.
What You’ll Do
* Create and manage engineering drawings and BIM models for roadways, signage, and traffic infrastructure
* Support project start-up and implementation of BIM workflows from concept to completion
* Develop 2D/3D layouts, assemblies, sections, and details from design sketches and markups
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for model consistency and clash detection
* Use Navisworks to run clash tests and compile clash resolution reports
* Extract construction quantities and schedules directly from BIM models
* Adhere to established drafting standards and participate in QA/QC checks
* Work within Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise, BIM 360, or ACC
* Maintain accuracy and compliance in deliverables based on project specifications
* Perform additional tasks as directed by engineering leads or project managers
Ideal Profile
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical field
* At least 3 years of experience in CAD/BIM drafting in the UAE, particularly in road and traffic-related projects
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and MicroStation
* Familiar with BIM workflows, LOD requirements, and parametric family creation
* Working knowledge of Navisworks and OpenRoads preferred
* Familiar with data environments such as BIM 360 and ProjectWise
* Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment
