BIM Coordinator - Infrastructure in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a Civil Engineering opportunity for an experienced digital delivery professional who can coordinate BIM workflows, manage model integrity, support clash detection, develop BIM documentation, and help deliver complex civil and infrastructure projects. This role is suited for a technically strong BIM specialist with experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC, Civil 3D models, BIM Execution Plans, open BIM workflows, and construction-stage coordination.

Role Context
The BIM Coordinator supports infrastructure project teams by keeping BIM processes, models, documentation, clash reviews, data structures, and digital deliverables aligned from design through construction and as-built stages. The role helps improve coordination between disciplines, reduce design conflicts, maintain model accuracy, and ensure that shop drawings and as-built drawings are extracted from properly coordinated models. By supporting project stakeholders with BIM tools, standards, and training, this position strengthens digital project control and improves the quality of infrastructure delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate BIM workflows across civil and infrastructure project teams in line with project goals and BIM Execution Plans.
* Maintain structured file systems, model folders, naming conventions, and digital documentation in accordance with company BIM standards.
* Keep project BIM processes aligned with approved standards, industry practices, project requirements, and delivery schedules.
* Review BIM models to ensure they accurately represent design intent and comply with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements.
* Maintain model and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle, from design development to construction support and operational handover.
* Provide BIM technical support to engineers, designers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
* Support BIM training activities and help users understand project-specific BIM processes, software workflows, and model requirements.
* Develop and maintain BIM documentation, standards, templates, and digital delivery requirements for assigned projects.
* Prepare or support documentation such as EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP, asset registers, COBie data, and BIM process documents.
* Conduct clash detection using Navisworks or similar tools during design coordination and construction-stage review.
* Organize and support design coordination meetings focused on model clashes, interface issues, constructability concerns, and issue resolution.
* Coordinate with project teams to ensure shop drawings are extracted from coordinated BIM and Civil 3D models.
* Ensure as-built drawings are produced from verified as-built models with accurate project information.
* Support IFC and open BIM workflows where required for interdisciplinary exchange and stakeholder coordination.
* Assist with asset tagging, COBie structures, and facilities management data requirements for infrastructure projects.
* Contribute to 4D and 5D workflows using tools such as Power BI, Synchro, Primavera, or similar platforms when required.
* Support construction progress monitoring workflows using applications such as OpenSpace, HoloBuilder, or similar digital site tools.
* Stay updated with BIM technologies, software updates, automation opportunities, and infrastructure digital delivery trends.
* Manage multiple BIM coordination tasks across active projects while maintaining accuracy, quality, and deadline discipline.
* Identify model issues, data gaps, documentation risks, and coordination problems early and help drive practical resolution.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM coordination, civil infrastructure modelling, digital delivery, CAD drafting, or multidisciplinary design coordination.
* Strong infrastructure background with experience supporting complex civil, utilities, transportation, or construction-stage projects.
* Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC, and related digital coordination tools.
* Experience with Civil 3D models and coordinated shop drawing or as-built drawing extraction.
* Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans, project BIM standards, model coordination, clash detection, and data integrity.
* Ability to develop and maintain BIM documents including EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP, asset registers, COBie, and BIM process templates.
* Knowledge of IFC and open BIM workflows is preferred.
* Familiarity with asset tagging, COBie data structures, and facilities management systems for infrastructure projects is an advantage.
* Experience with Power BI, Synchro, Primavera, or similar tools for 4D and 5D workflows is preferred.
* BIM certification such as Autodesk Civil 3D, RICS, Revit, ISO 19650, or similar is an advantage.
