Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, including plans, profiles, sections, details, layouts, and technical drawing packages.
* Develop construction drawings based on IFC, tender, authority-approved, and project-issued documents.
* Update and revise drawings according to site conditions, RFIs, engineer comments, client comments, and approved design changes.
* Coordinate with engineers, planners, inspectors, and project teams to incorporate technical updates into drawing deliverables.
* Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, CAD standards, authority requirements, and internal drafting procedures.
* Maintain drawing registers, version control, file naming conventions, and organized document records.
* Prepare as-built drawings using approved redlines, site records, inspection updates, and project information.
* Assist with shop drawings, utility layouts, coordination drawings, and multidisciplinary infrastructure drafting tasks.
* Perform basic quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings when required by the project team.
* Support timely drawing submissions in line with project schedules, review cycles, and delivery milestones.
* Archive and manage electronic and hardcopy drawings for quick access and easy retrieval.
* Coordinate drafting inputs across civil, structural, MEP, utilities, and infrastructure disciplines.
* Follow company QA/QC procedures, drafting best practices, and document control requirements.
* Help resolve drawing discrepancies by checking information against project requirements and site feedback.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 6-10 years of experience in CAD drafting within infrastructure, transportation, roads, or civil engineering projects.
* Three-year diploma with equivalency certificate is mandatory where applicable.
* Minimum 3-4 years of UAE experience is mandatory.
* Previous experience on RTA or DM projects will be an added advantage.
* Strong experience preparing plans, profiles, sections, details, shop drawings, utility layouts, and as-built drawings.
* Good knowledge of CAD standards, authority submission requirements, drawing registers, revision control, and file management.
* Able to coordinate with engineers, inspectors, planners, and multidisciplinary project teams.
* Skilled in interpreting IFC drawings, tender documents, redlines, RFIs, site records, and engineering comments.
* Detail-focused approach with the ability to produce accurate drawings within project timelines.
* Comfortable working on-site in a structured infrastructure and transportation project environment.
