Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Resident Engineer in managing daily site operations for roads, highways, infrastructure, and community development works.
* Deputize for the Resident Engineer when required and help maintain continuity across assigned project activities.
* Review contract documents and ensure site supervision duties are carried out in line with applicable project requirements.
* Supervise contractor works to achieve required construction, operation, and maintenance standards under the contract.
* Participate in contract administration activities and support compliance with contractual procedures.
* Review contractor submissions, technical documents, progress records, and construction-related documentation.
* Provide on-site direction and issue site instructions within the assigned scope of work.
* Supervise site inspection staff and coordinate inspection coverage across active work areas.
* Check and measure completed works to support progress verification, payment review, and project reporting.
* Observe site safety practices and help maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
* Monitor quality of materials, workmanship, construction methods, and site activities.
* Record construction progress and compare actual performance against the approved project program.
* Prepare progress reports and submit accurate updates for project leadership review.
* Review as-built drawings and confirm correctness, completeness, and alignment with executed works.
* Use project software and computer systems to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and support construction management activities.
* Perform other civil engineering and site supervision duties related to roads and infrastructure project delivery as required.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a civil engineer with strong roads, highways, and infrastructure supervision experience in the UAE. This role requires a practical site professional who understands contract requirements, can guide inspection staff, communicate clearly with contractors and project teams, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, documentation, and progress control.
* Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in site supervision and construction management.
* Experience on major infrastructure, road works, highways, or community development projects within the UAE.
* Demonstrable experience in civil supervision of major road and general infrastructure projects, preferably in Dubai.
* Strong understanding of contract documents, contractual relationships, construction requirements, and project procedures.
* Ability to review contractor submissions, technical documents, site instructions, progress records, and as-built drawings.
* Good knowledge of materials, workmanship inspection, construction quality control, and safety practices.
* Fully computer literate with the ability to access project data, maintain records, generate reports, and use engineering or construction-related software.
* Excellent written technical skills.
* Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
* Ability to coordinate with contractors, inspection teams, engineers, and project leadership in a structured site environment.
