Fika Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist the Resident Engineer/ARE in overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with construction documents and authorities regulations, and maintaining site safety practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Resident Engineer/ARE in their duties.
Follow up on construction activities at the site.
Ensure adherence to construction documents and the latest authorities regulations by the contractor.
Assist in reviewing contractors submissions (shop drawings, materials, RFIs, etc.).
Provide necessary on-site direction.
Support in supervising site inspection staff as directed by the Resident Engineer/ARE.
Measure and verify the work done.
Observe site safety practices.
Report back to the Resident Engineer/ARE as necessary.
Monitor the contractors resource allocation.
Assist in reviewing the projects closeout documents.
Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at the site, as required by the Resident Engineer/ARE and the project Safety Representative.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of work experience with infrastructure, utilities, and roads projects. Dubai experience is preferred.
Experience in fast-track prestigious projects is preferred.
Proficiency in using computer software.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
Commitment to safe work practices.
