Role Summary
The Civil Inspector - Roads and Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing site inspection activities to ensure construction works in Dubai, UAE meet approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The role supports project delivery by maintaining compliance, monitoring workmanship, and ensuring quality control throughout construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform continuous site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications
* Monitor construction and maintenance of roads, curbs, sidewalks, and related infrastructure
* Inspect drainage systems, utilities, traffic control installations, and lighting works
* Supervise installation of electrical components related to traffic signals and street lighting
* Oversee irrigation, landscaping, and planting works on project sites
* Inspect installation and removal of roadway signage and delineation systems
* Monitor building construction and site development activities where applicable
* Record daily site activities and maintain photographic documentation
* Verify quality of workmanship and ensure adherence to engineering standards
* Report non-compliance issues and support corrective actions on site
Ideal Profile
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure or road construction projects
* Strong understanding of construction supervision and inspection processes
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Good analytical skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage site responsibilities
* Familiarity with UAE construction standards is an advantage
