What You\'ll Be Doing
- Inspect road construction and maintenance works together with associated infrastructure improvements.
- Monitor curb and gutter works, streets, sidewalks, landscaping, and related site activities.
- Inspect drainage systems, utilities, traffic-control works, and lighting installations.
- Check the
installation of electrical equipment associated with traffic signals, ramp metering, and street lighting.
- Inspect irrigation and planting activities included within the project scope.
- Monitor the removal and installation of roadway and overhead signs.
- Inspect temporary and permanent signage and delineation works.
- Monitor building and facility construction and associated site development when included within assigned inspection activities.
- Maintain continuous surveillance of assigned works to verify compliance with applicable drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
- Take project photographs each day and maintain the required photographic records.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in construction supervision on infrastructure projects.
- Experience involving road works and utilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Ability to understand construction specifications and processes relevant to civil inspection.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
Role Focus
The Civil Inspector provides direct field oversight of infrastructure construction activities, checking that assigned works are executed in accordance with project requirements. The role requires consistent site observation across multiple civil and infrastructure components together with accurate interpretation of drawings, specifications, and construction processes.
