Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and inspect electromechanical works on site, including electrical, mechanical, control, instrumentation, SCADA, traffic signal, and ITS systems.
* Review and comment on shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection and test plans, and as-built drawings for electromechanical components.
* Ensure site works comply with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, IEC, project specifications, and other applicable codes.
* Witness factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests for pumps, switchgear, control panels, SCADA systems, traffic signals, ITS devices, and related equipment.
* Identify non-conformances, report issues clearly, follow up corrective actions, and confirm closure before system handover.
* Coordinate with contractors, electromechanical teams, civil teams, site inspectors, junior engineers, and discipline engineers to resolve technical and interface matters.
* Liaise with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities for inspections, approvals, NOCs, and compliance requirements.
* Ensure electrical and mechanical systems are properly integrated with civil works and other project disciplines.
* Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to confirm compliance with approved procedures and performance requirements.
* Review and verify O and M manuals, training materials, spare parts lists, and contractor handover submissions.
* Assist with punch list preparation, system performance verification, final inspections, and handover of electromechanical systems.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, equipment deliveries, commissioning activities, site observations, and approvals.
* Prepare daily and weekly progress reports covering electromechanical works, key issues, milestones, and technical risks.
* Support claims review and variation order assessments related to electromechanical works.
* Provide technical support to site inspectors and junior engineers when resolving site challenges.
* Proactively identify technical issues that may affect cost, quality, schedule, or handover readiness.
* Support value engineering initiatives to improve electromechanical system efficiency and project cost outcomes.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
* Valid UAE Society of Engineers membership is preferred.
* Experience in electromechanical site supervision, MEP systems, infrastructure, transportation, or construction projects is preferred.
* Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, control, instrumentation, SCADA, traffic signal, and ITS systems.
* Good knowledge of authority requirements and applicable standards, including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, NFPA, and IEC.
* Ability to review technical documents such as shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, ITPs, as-built drawings, O and M manuals, and spare parts lists.
* Experience supporting FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning, punch lists, and final handover activities.
* Strong coordination skills for working with contractors, engineers, authorities, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
