Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and inspect electromechanical works on site, including electrical, mechanical, control, instrumentation, SCADA, traffic signal, and ITS systems.
* Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection and test plans, and as-built drawings for compliance with project and authority requirements.
* Check works against applicable standards including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, IEC, and relevant UAE codes.
* Witness factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests for pumps, switchgear, control panels, SCADA systems, traffic signals, and ITS devices.
* Identify non-conformances, prepare observations, follow up corrective actions, and confirm closure before system handover.
* Coordinate with contractors, electromechanical teams, site engineers, inspectors, and other disciplines to resolve technical and interface issues.
* Liaise with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities for inspections, NOCs, approvals, and compliance matters.
* Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure procedures, performance requirements, and project specifications are met.
* Support punch list preparation, performance verification, O and M manual review, and final handover of electromechanical systems.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, commissioning activities, site observations, and technical approvals.
* Prepare progress updates and technical reports related to electromechanical works.
* Provide technical support to site inspectors and junior engineers when resolving site issues.
* Proactively identify technical risks that could lead to delays, rework, or cost overruns.
* Support quality control across site delivery by ensuring documentation, testing, and inspection records remain complete and traceable.
Ideal Profile
* BE or BTech in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in electromechanical supervision, infrastructure, transportation, or construction projects.
* Strong experience inspecting electrical, mechanical, control, instrumentation, SCADA, traffic signal, and ITS systems.
* Familiarity with Dubai authority requirements, including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, RTA, and Dubai Municipality processes.
* RTA or Dubai Municipality approval is preferred.
* Good understanding of shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection and test plans, as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
* Experience supporting FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, punch lists, and O and M manual reviews.
* Strong site coordination skills with the ability to work across contractors, consultants, authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
* Detail-oriented approach to quality control, inspection records, technical compliance, and issue resolution.
* Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining safety, quality, and delivery standards.
