Role Summary
The Engineer - Planning and Scheduling is responsible for delivering project planning, cost control, and scheduling support across infrastructure projects. This role ensures accurate tracking of progress, forecasting, and performance analysis to support timely and cost-effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 aligned with project milestones and deliverables
* Establish and manage work breakdown structures for project planning and tracking
* Analyze cost and schedule variances and identify potential financial or timeline risks
* Support development of baseline schedules using drawings, specifications, and project data
* Collect and analyze project progress data to evaluate performance trends
* Assist in forecasting manpower, labor hours, and cost requirements against budgets
* Monitor project expenditures, purchase orders, and subcontract commitments
* Apply earned value management techniques to assess project performance
* Support change management, scope control, and claims analysis processes
* Prepare reports and dashboards for project status, progress, and financial performance
* Participate in project review meetings and provide planning insights
* Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment of schedules and deliverables
Ideal Profile
* Strong experience in planning and project controls within infrastructure or transportation projects
* Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and scheduling methodologies
* Familiarity with earned value management and cost control principles
* Experience working on roads, bridges, or large-scale civil engineering projects
