The role contributes directly to risk reduction, regulatory readiness, asset protection, and the safety of building occupants. It requires independent judgment in the field alongside effective coordination with clients, project teams, and technical specialists.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect and test fire detection, alarm, suppression, and associated life safety systems.
* Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration of emergency lighting, exit signage, alarms, and response equipment.
* Diagnose equipment failures, communication faults, calibration issues, and other system performance problems.
* Implement or recommend corrective actions that restore equipment to safe operating condition.
* Verify that completed work complies with Saudi Arabian regulations, approved project requirements, building codes, and international fire safety standards.
* Prepare detailed inspection reports covering test results, system deficiencies, maintenance work, and recommended actions.
* Maintain accurate equipment service histories, compliance documents, test certificates, and field records.
* Explain technical findings and safety recommendations clearly to clients and facility representatives.
* Coordinate site visits according to client access requirements, maintenance schedules, and project deadlines.
* Provide practical troubleshooting support when fire or life safety systems malfunction.
* Track changes in relevant codes, inspection methods, equipment technologies, and industry practices.
* Work with internal engineering and project teams to resolve technical concerns and support timely project delivery.
* Follow established safety procedures during every inspection, testing, and maintenance activity.
Ideal Profile
The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of hands-on experience inspecting, testing, maintaining, or commissioning fire protection and life safety systems. Strong practical knowledge of fire alarms, detection devices, suppression equipment, emergency lighting, exit signage, and related response systems is essential.
Applicants should be able to interpret technical documentation, identify complex equipment faults, and produce accurate reports without close supervision. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian safety requirements and internationally recognized fire and building standards will be highly valuable.
Professional certifications in fire alarm or life safety systems are preferred. The position also suits candidates with project scheduling experience and the ability to communicate professionally in English. Arabic language capability would be an advantage.
