Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the design of dry utility networks, including LV power distribution, MV power distribution, street lighting, and telecom systems.
* Apply electrical engineering knowledge to support accurate, high-quality design outputs within project timelines.
* Complete assigned work under supervision while following agreed budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
* Collect and analyze information from discipline-specific and interdisciplinary BIM models as needed.
* Use computer software to solve basic engineering problems and support infrastructure design activities.
* Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines to maintain continuity across the design process.
* Participate in design progress meetings and coordination discussions by sharing updates, findings, and technical inputs.
* Review BIM and CAD model production for accuracy against design instructions and project requirements.
* Support the utilities digital working group and contribute to the use of digital tools within the design process.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, solve problems, and contribute to better project delivery.
* Apply theoretical knowledge and supervised experience to support non-routine design tasks.
* Take part in AECOM’s ADVANCE program activities to build technical, business, communication, and professional skills.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
* Recent graduate who completed studies within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024.
* Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above, in line with AECOM graduate program eligibility requirements.
* Master’s degree holders should have started the master’s program within 12 months of completing the bachelor’s degree.
* Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for this graduate program.
* Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, dry utility design, power distribution, street lighting, and telecom infrastructure.
* Software exposure such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, or relevant programming tools will be beneficial.
* Strong interest in infrastructure design, digital engineering, BIM coordination, and utility networks.
* Able to work with multidisciplinary teams and learn from experienced engineers in a project environment.
* Organized, analytical, and willing to contribute ideas, follow guidance, and develop practical engineering judgment.
