Key Responsibilities
* Support senior engineers with structural analysis, detailed design calculations, and technical checks for bridges and infrastructure structures.
* Assist in preparing design sketches, engineering reports, calculation notes, diagrams, and technical documentation.
* Coordinate with CAD and BIM technicians to support the production of accurate drawings, models, and design deliverables.
* Apply academic knowledge of structural design principles to supervised engineering tasks.
* Use structural analysis and design software to support basic calculations, model reviews, and engineering problem-solving.
* Follow guidance from senior engineers while developing technical judgment, design accuracy, and professional confidence.
* Contribute to multidisciplinary coordination with civil, transport, infrastructure, CAD, BIM, and project delivery teams.
* Support quality-focused design work by checking details, maintaining organized records, and following project standards.
* Participate in learning and professional development activities under AECOM’s ADVANCE graduate program.
* Assist with project tasks according to agreed schedules, technical direction, and quality expectations.
* Build understanding of bridge engineering, infrastructure structures, design workflows, and professional accreditation pathways.
* Communicate progress, questions, and technical inputs clearly within the project team.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
* Candidate should have completed, or be near completion of, a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
* Recent graduate who completed studies within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024.
* Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above, in line with AECOM graduate program eligibility requirements.
* Master’s degree holders should have started the master’s program within 12 months of completing the bachelor’s degree.
* Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for this graduate program.
* Strong academic background with basic understanding of structural design principles for bridges and infrastructure structures.
* Academic familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as MIDAS, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, CSI Bridge, or similar tools.
* Working toward professional accreditation such as Chartered Engineer or PE will be desirable.
* Good communication and teamwork abilities with the confidence to work in a multidisciplinary design environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality engineering work.
* Willingness to learn, follow senior guidance, and develop technical and professional skills.
