Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the design of dry utility networks, including LV power distribution, MV power distribution, street lighting, and telecom systems.
* Apply electrical design knowledge to support accurate technical outputs within approved project timelines.
* Complete assigned engineering tasks under supervision while following agreed budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
* Collect and review information from discipline-specific and interdisciplinary BIM models to support utility design coordination.
* Use computer software to solve basic engineering problems and improve design workflow efficiency.
* Coordinate with engineers from civil, utilities, infrastructure, and related disciplines to maintain design continuity.
* Participate in design progress meetings and coordination sessions by sharing updates, technical inputs, and task status.
* Verify BIM and CAD model production against design instructions to support accuracy and quality.
* Support digital working groups related to utilities and help implement useful digital tools within the design process.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, solve design issues, and contribute to better project delivery.
* Apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering assignments under the guidance of senior engineers.
* Participate in AECOM’s ADVANCE program activities to develop technical, business, teamwork, and professional skills.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
* Recent graduate who completed studies within the last 24 months or no earlier than September 2024.
* Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above, in line with AECOM graduate program eligibility requirements.
* Master’s degree holders should have started the master’s program within 12 months of completing the bachelor’s degree.
* Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for this graduate program.
* Basic understanding of electrical engineering, utility networks, power distribution, lighting systems, and telecom infrastructure.
* Software exposure such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, or relevant programming tools will be beneficial.
* Strong interest in infrastructure design, BIM coordination, digital engineering, and dry utilities.
* Able to work with multidisciplinary teams and learn from experienced engineers in a structured project environment.
* Analytical, organized, and motivated to contribute ideas while developing practical engineering judgment.
