Role Summary
The Inspector - Electromechanical Works is responsible for overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and control systems on-site. This role ensures all electromechanical components are delivered according to approved standards, contributing to safe and efficient project completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise installation of electromechanical systems including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control components
* Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection plans, and as-built documentation
* Witness factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests for pumps, switchgear, control panels, SCADA systems, and ITS equipment
* Ensure compliance with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, IEC, and relevant authority standards
* Identify non-conformances, issue reports, and follow up on corrective actions prior to system handover
* Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and ensure system integration
* Liaise with authorities such as DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, and Du for inspections and approvals
* Monitor pre-commissioning and commissioning activities ensuring system functionality and performance
* Review operation and maintenance manuals, spare parts lists, and handover documentation
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
* Prepare progress reports and provide technical input to optimize performance and cost efficiency
* Support punch list preparation and final project handover processes
Ideal Profile
* Strong experience in electromechanical inspection within infrastructure or transportation projects
* Knowledge of UAE authority standards and international codes
* Experience working with electrical systems, control systems, and mechanical installations
* Ability to manage testing, commissioning, and handover processes
* Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented with strong reporting and documentation abilities
