Role Summary
The Inspector - Structural Roads plays a critical role in maintaining construction quality and compliance by monitoring structural elements of road and bridge projects. The position ensures all works align with approved drawings, supports engineering teams, and contributes to safe and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Review drawings, contract documents, and specifications before site execution to ensure clarity and compliance
* Inspect structural works including bridges, roads, and associated infrastructure elements during construction phases
* Verify contractor adherence to approved materials, shop drawings, and method statements
* Maintain detailed records of daily activities including manpower, equipment, and material usage
* Coordinate closely with contractor teams to monitor work progress and resolve execution issues
* Support Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer with inspections, reporting, and documentation
* Conduct site measurements and assist in survey checks related to structural components
* Monitor QA and QC processes including materials testing and compliance audits
* Identify non-conforming works and ensure corrective measures are implemented promptly
* Participate in inspections, commissioning, and project handover activities
* Assist in preparation of reports, correspondence, and inspection documentation
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations at all times
Ideal Profile
* Proven experience in structural inspection for road and bridge infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of QA and QC processes in construction environments
* Familiarity with UAE standards and authority requirements such as RTA
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Strong coordination and communication skills on construction sites
* Detail-oriented approach with strong reporting and documentation abilities
