Role Summary
As an Irrigation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and technical coordination of landscape irrigation systems in urban and municipal environments. You will work closely with internal design teams and Dubai authorities to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure networks while applying best practices in sustainability and water management.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the preparation of irrigation system designs, technical reports, specifications, and installation documents
* Supervise and coordinate design activities related to pipelines, pumping stations, chambers, and road crossings
* Provide guidance to drafters, junior engineers, and designers on irrigation layouts and hydraulic design
* Conduct site visits, infrastructure reviews, and interface coordination with Dubai’s utility authorities
* Ensure compliance with local authority standards, environmental regulations, and sustainability goals
* Collaborate with landscape architects to ensure optimal integration of irrigation systems into public realm designs
* Recommend suitable systems, materials, and products for irrigation and water features based on technical and cost considerations
* Handle emergency works and coordinate with public stakeholders for urgent site responses
* Contribute to design scheduling, budgeting, and documentation as part of the project delivery process
* Utilize Microsoft Office, Primavera, and other planning tools for documentation and progress tracking
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering with emphasis in Landscape Irrigation or Horticulture
* Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in design, supervision, and construction of landscape irrigation systems
* Familiarity with existing infrastructure networks across the Emirate of Dubai is essential
* Proven experience in pipeline works, non-disruptive road crossings, pump stations, and related infrastructure
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and authority coordination
* Ability to lead and contribute to multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure and landscape projects
* Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Primavera P3
