This role supports accurate delivery of roads, pavements, curbs, drainage, and utility works by carrying out field surveys, verifying alignments and levels, maintaining records, and assisting senior survey teams throughout construction supervision.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform survey activities under the direction of the Senior Highway Surveyor and project supervision team.
* Establish primary horizontal and vertical control points, including reference ties for future field re-establishment.
* Record measurements, rod readings, survey calculations, field observations, and site data accurately in field books.
* Check survey work through traverse closures, bench circuits, control verification, and calculation reviews.
* Conduct pre-construction surveys to verify existing site conditions, identify obstructions, and support design validation.
* Support construction layout, staking, and setting-out activities for roads, pavements, curbs, drainage systems, utilities, and related infrastructure works.
* Monitor contractor work alignment, levels, grading, and setting-out accuracy against approved design drawings.
* Coordinate with contractor surveyors, the Resident Engineer, and site teams on work priorities, measurements, discrepancies, and required corrections.
* Maintain survey instruments in good working condition and complete frequent calibration checks.
* Assist in preparing as-built drawings, survey reports, maps, records, and project documentation.
* Use GPS, total stations, modern survey software, and field equipment to support accurate measurement and reporting.
* Follow safety procedures during all survey operations, especially near active road works, construction areas, drainage works, and utility zones.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, Surveying, or a related engineering field.
* 7-10 years of experience as a Land Surveyor is preferred.
* Civil engineering graduate or diploma holder with an equivalency certificate and minimum 7 years of relevant land surveying experience.
* Diploma holder with minimum 10 years of land surveying experience in similar highway or infrastructure works may also be considered.
* Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience is mandatory.
* Dubai Municipality or RTA approval is required or strongly preferred.
* Practical experience in setting out roads, pavements, curbs, drainage, utilities, grading, and highway-related civil works.
* Strong understanding of control points, benchmarks, traverse checks, leveling, coordinate systems, and field documentation.
* Proficient in GPS, total stations, survey software, and modern field measurement tools.
* Able to work closely with senior surveyors, resident engineers, contractor teams, and multidisciplinary supervision staff.
* Accurate, safety-conscious, and organized, with the ability to maintain reliable survey records for construction and handover.
