Core Duties
* Review project drawings, technical documents, and survey-related information before carrying out field activities.
* Perform land surveys, field surveys, level checks, setting-out works, and geodetic calculations for infrastructure and utilities projects.
* Supervise survey-related site activities and verify that works are aligned with approved project requirements.
* Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and site teams to confirm survey requirements and resolve field-related matters.
* Check setting-out points, levels, alignments, service locations, and site measurements to support accurate construction execution.
* Identify existing utilities and service locations, helping ensure proper protection during construction activities.
* Complete assigned survey tasks within agreed schedules, man-hour plans, and cost control expectations.
* Prepare field sketches, survey notes, calculations, and supporting documentation for site records and technical review.
* Maintain field books, survey data, sketches, calculations, and other project survey information in an organized manner.
* Measure completed work when required and provide accurate data for progress verification.
* Assist in preparing as-built drawings by collecting and checking field information from completed works.
* Use survey instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, data collectors, CAD tools, and survey software.
* Observe site safety procedures and actively support health and safety practices required by the Resident Engineer and project safety team.
* Follow safe work practices during all survey operations and support a disciplined site working environment.
* Perform other survey-related duties connected to infrastructure project delivery as required.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate has strong infrastructure and utilities survey experience, practical knowledge of construction site procedures, and the ability to work accurately in a busy project environment. This role requires a surveyor who is confident with field instruments, technical drawings, survey software, site coordination, and clear documentation.
* Diploma or Associate degree in Land Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities projects.
* At least 4 years of experience working with a consultancy firm.
* Regional project experience in infrastructure, road works, utilities, or similar civil engineering works.
* Knowledge of CAD software, survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
* Ability to review drawings, check levels, verify setting-out, and support as-built documentation.
* Understanding of construction sequences and standard industry work procedures is preferred.
* Good written and spoken English communication skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly and logically with management, engineers, contractors, and site staff.
* Willingness to attend in-person interviews when required.
* Strong attention to detail, safe working habits, and commitment to accurate field reporting.
