The Land Surveyor - Infrastructure will support Parsons Corporation by carrying out accurate site surveying activities for infrastructure and utilities works in Dubai. The position helps project teams confirm field conditions, verify construction alignment, check service locations, prepare sketches, maintain survey records, and support safe project delivery. The role requires disciplined fieldwork, reliable survey calculations, clear coordination with contractors and clients, and careful documentation of all survey information used during construction supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Review drawings, technical documents, and project information related to assigned survey works.
* Supervise survey-related site activities to confirm that field work follows project requirements and approved procedures.
* Perform land surveys, field surveys, level checks, setting-out verification, and geodetic calculations for infrastructure and utilities works.
* Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and site teams to determine and verify project survey requirements.
* Complete survey tasks within agreed schedules, man-hour limits, and cost budgets.
* Check setting-out points, alignments, levels, coordinates, and construction references before and during site execution.
* Verify service locations and support measures to protect existing utilities, underground services, and project assets.
* Prepare sketches, field notes, and supporting survey information required for site work and technical clarification.
* Maintain accurate survey records including field books, sketches, calculations, survey data, and related documentation.
* Measure completed work when required to support progress verification, project records, or payment-related checks.
* Observe site safety procedures and maintain safe work practices during all survey activities.
* Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings by providing accurate field measurements, survey data, and site records.
* Participate positively in health and safety matters as required by the Resident Engineer and project Safety Representative.
* Support coordination between survey crews, contractors, consultants, and project engineers to resolve survey-related issues.
* Use total station, GPS equipment, data collectors, CAD software, and survey software to complete accurate field and office survey tasks.
* Apply working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures when planning survey activities.
* Communicate survey findings clearly with management, staff, contractors, and project stakeholders.
* Attend in-person interviews and project discussions when required.
* Perform other surveying and site supervision responsibilities associated with the position as needed.
Ideal Profile
* Diploma or associate degree in Land Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities projects.
* Consultancy experience is preferred.
* Knowledge or hands-on experience using CAD software, survey software, total station, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
* Good understanding of setting-out works, level checks, service location verification, survey calculations, and field documentation.
* Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures in infrastructure and utilities projects is preferred.
* Good oral and written communication skills in English.
* Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management, staff, contractors, and project teams.
